Blank Channels

Has anyone else got blank channels this morning. (i.e. ITV News Channel being one and radio 1 and a few others)?

My TV services are OK, but as I'm in a completely different area to you, it has litle relevance.

If you are not recieving TV channels even after you have powered down and restarted your STB, then I'd be calling faults as the STB may need to have software resent, or worse.

Just spoken to a neighbour, he's is the same. Must be a fault at ntl's end. By the way, he on a different green box as well.

I got blank channels last night in E.London. But all seems "well" so far today...

It's 3.30pm and they're still blank. I've tried a re-boot to no avail. As it's channels I hardly watch, I'm not too concerned.

Channels Blank are 123, 401R 402R 403R, 613, 808, 809, 810, 811, 868R and 904.

R = Radio.

Phoned ntl up 20 mins wait! They re-booted the signal and now all is fine.

I'd hazzard a guess that you're missing one multiplex. Most likely a bit of equipment that passes it down the cable at the headend (or possibly your local cabinet) has fallen over.

With a bit of luck, with enough people phoning from the same area, NTL will notice...

Checked it out and we had lost 5,9,14,32,633,637,661,926,927,928,929... and possibly some more. I rebooted the STB and they all came back to life.

Just put tv on, no vh1, vh1 classic, mtv & discovery, Manchester anyone else?
