ITV to ditch Celebrity Obsession.
Not a new show that ITV is ditching before it starts, but ITV has announced they are reverting to their core program genres : Drama and light entertainment. The only "Celebrity" show that appears in the Autumn schedule is "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!". At last, no more sitting in front of the TV wondering where you've seen some random person (usually Fran Cosgrave in my experience) before, only to realise the only place you might have seen them is in another reality program.

The bill used to be ok until it got crap. All there good dramas have ended now as well. I would like to see a return of good ITV dramas though |
Re: ITV to ditch Celebrity Obsession.
So would I, and judging by the fact that they are losing viewers by the bucketload (http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/news/ar...1&in_page_id=2), so would a lot of people.

Re: ITV to ditch Celebrity Obsession.
I very very rarely watch anything on ITV these days...actually I watched TV's Naughtiest Blunders tonight, but it appears that it's just a collection of out-takes from TV shows, the actor fluffs their line and then say a random swear-word. Hardly naughty nor a blunder - and certainly not remotely related to entertaining.
This is indicitive of the channel nowadays. They rely on cheap programmes like reality shows and poorly written and produced original drama and comedy which would be rejected by the BBC on any given day. That is why they are losing viewers by the bucketload including me (oh but I do watch the X Factor....does that make me a bad person?) |
