Over high water mark
I get messages from "admin" saying:
Your mailbox is over the high water mark. Please delete some messages from your mailbox! Any idea the source of this? Is it from the PC and Microsoft Outlook or is it from ntlworld... Sorry if this has been mentioned before!! Ken Glasgow |
Re: Over high water mark
ntlworld probably, have you got much in your inbox for your ntlworld account? Try logging into the webmail interface and check it from there.
Where do you get the message? Via email? |
Re: Over high water mark
I got that the other day and I only had 48 emails in my inbox :(

It is likely you have your mail client set to 'leave a copy of the message on the server', an alternative to this is to fully download all messages & forward a copy to Gmail/ Hotmail, etc :) As far as I know an NTL mailbox is 10MB. |
Re: Over high water mark
Yep, remember to empty your trash can/ recyle bin or that will count to the number of emails you have in your account.

Re: Over high water mark
Sorry, guys, I should have said: I already checked my ntlworld webmail online and each folder was empty.
I did have piles of stuff in my deleted items on my PC but the size of that is 167208 KB and that's nothing to do with ntlworld. This is the detail I get when I check the Options on right-click mouse: Return-Path: <> From: admin Subject: ATTENTION: High Water Mark Notification, bytes in the mailbox! Date: Thu, 25 Aug 2005 16:33:13 +0100 Doesn't say who it's from and there's no return address. As I said, any ideas? Ken Glasgow |
Re: Over high water mark
No headers information at all? Might be a spoof but without headers you have to wonder.

The header info is as I mentioned above: It shows pretty much no information and, on second look, is much more like something system-generated. I can't find a way to check if there's a mailbox size limit in Outlook... does anyone have any clues? Ken Glasgow |
Re: Over high water mark
Just ignore it Ken unless you stop getting your mail through I did when I got it and nothing happened
