Unadvertised Offer

NTL are currently running a few unadvertised offers.

I've just taken a the 1mb broadband service (up from 600) and I've got their talk unlimited 24 service free for six months.

I understand that if you take the 600 (up from 150) you can have the same offer.

i know its only for six months but you can't really turn your nose up at it, especially if you are a heavy phone user.

I think you will find that these are regional offers only!!

I bet you have trouble knoking it off when the 6 months are up. They are very quick to feel your wallet!

Yes, but they could only charge you the std 1mb charge.
Also you could knock it back down again.

I take it that its not a "free" service, but that you actually get the 1mb for the 600k price?

my experience is that they continue taking the money for the enhanced service even though you told them you don't want it when the 6 months are up.

They ignored a polite email.
They ignored a phone call
Tey ignored a letter.
They even ignored my first registered letter.

If you want to reduce your service you have to be prepared to put up with paying the extra for a few months, and then be prepared to claim it back, which means being more bloody minded than they are.

Just go in with your eyes open that's all!
