They messed my bill up...but I have had enough...
 

After a recent change of financial circumstances I had to review my NTL package...and although I was getting some discounts, I was still paying around £80 per month for phone, family pack and 3mb broadband.

So I downgraded broadband to 2mb... of course the inevitable happened...my bills were messed up and I ended up paying 2 x 3mb BB on top of the correct 2mb BB price. I was not happy and the person I spoke to stopped the full payment being taken...so that was fine in the end. Then in the process and for some unknow reason broadband was disconnected.... after much chasing around that was restored.

Then today....(and I was warned of this to be fair to NTL) I received a reminder letter stating that £79 was due immediately). Apparently this is a automated letter and I was told to ignore it.

So i think I am going to scale back further... the family pack is full of rubbish and the base pack isn't much better than freeview, so I am considering cancelling TV altogether.

I do need the telephone still but not Talk unlimited 24... I might add Talk Unlimited Local though.

I do need BB so would probably stick with the 2mb package.

Is it poss. for me too have BB and phone only? also though their website has pricing...what do you think the "real" price for just these two services is likely to be...I'd appreciate you views please. :)

Yes, but you will be charged line rental at £9-50pm for your phone.

It is possible, I have telephone (no talk packages) and 2MB broadband.

Phone line rental is £10.50 a month
2MB BB is £24.99 a month

The link for more info on the 5p Talk Plan goes to a page called 6ptalkplan, could this be a genuine mistake, or ready for some changes???

No mention of the 6p plan when I look at it.

I have BB and phone with no TV. The best phone plan for most people is the 5p plan IMHO. You have to be making more than 40 local evening and weekend phone calls per month for the TU local plan to work out cheaper and no evening and weekend calls outside the local area.

Give them a call, i get 24/7 local and national calls and 2Mbit BB for £24.99 P/M

Strange my father had ntl telly phone and my bb at my old house, he got rid of the tv, but we kept our phone and bb with no line rental??
