Ports denied request to land 120 migrants in RNLI boats

Quote:

Requests to accept the landing of RNLI boats carrying 120 migrants intercepted off the Isle of Wight were refused by both Portsmouth harbour and Southampton Port.

Associated British Ports (ABP), which operates Southampton, said it was not the closest port and it "did not have suitable reception facilities available".
May make these people think twice about taking the much longer and more dangerous 'trip' to different ports

Good to see somebody at least making a stand, although fully expecting legal bods to soon put a stop to this sort of thing.

Apparently a leaked home office reporr/ opinion is that 1% of asylum claims are genuine, Apparently immigration officials hear the same story literally thousands of times word for word, as if it's a script that's been learnt rather than lived

We could have done so but 51.9% decided to forgo this option back in June 2016. Rude to question a democratic season, I'm sure you'll agree.
