2gb service

I was looking at the VM homepage and seeing what new packages on broadband they are doing. I put in next doors number as they don't have VM and it's showing they can get 2gb broadband but I don't see that option or the option to upgrade to this.

Is this a new customer thing only?

It's something I call 'smart advertising'.

"sign up now for 2gb broadband"

*when the ink has dried*

'oh sorry sir, didn't you read the small print? . . it's when available in your area'

Did VM offer a symmetrical 2Gbps service at that address or was the upstream just 208Gbps ?

No it’s the oddball way that VM’s systems work. If your neighbour were to actually place an order for 2 Gbit, they would find an ‘oops not available, coming soon, but we can offer you.....'
