Moon Mission
Who is going to stay up and watch the Artemis II launch, due to take off 11:24pm uk time.
I was 7 months old when we walked on the moon, so will now see it and remember it |
Re: Moon Mission
Are they stepping foot on it or like an orbit?

Re: Moon Mission
Just a flyby, but further than Apollo, so they'll become the furthest humans from Earth

There is a 2 hour launch window from 23:24.

Re: Moon Mission
It looks a rusty old thing, wonder if the false tan colour was an instruction from the oval office?

In the past this would all have been painted to ‘look good’ but even the paint adds weight which you absolutely don’t want to have. If you remember back to very early Shuttle flights, the tanks were painted white, something that was quickly dropped. |

Re: Moon Mission
Only one Shuttle ever had a disaster on lift off, the other broke up on re-entry.
