Re: Veterinary Legislation
Nothing new here, being a caring owner of a pet has always been expensive if/when they become ill or injured.

Re: Veterinary Legislation
my sisters dog had cancer in it's jaw the vet prescribed tablets at £80 per month , these tablets were ordinary over the counter calcium tablets about £1 from our local wilko store

Re: Veterinary Legislation
Pet owners will pay a maximum of £21 for their first prescription and £12.50 for any other medicines under the changes after the CMA found some were being overcharged for commonly prescribed medicines from vet practices. So now you will have to get the script more often . Need to take for 14days here's 7;. Simple

Re: Veterinary Legislation
When our cat was fatally injured by a car being driven on the pavement, we decided euthanasia was the best option for her due to her advanced age and her injuries.
The bill was shocking. I was told to ask for an itemised bill a couple of weeks later. It contained bills for flea and worm treatments! When I queried that, I was told it was a "clerical error", and the corresponding costs were not refundable! |

How else will she get into heaven ;)

Re: Veterinary Legislation
What doesn’t get mentioned is that most vet practices are now owned by private equity firms, who couldn’t care less about animals, and are only interested in profit.
The days of James Herriot are long gone. |
