There are a lot of things that can be uninstalled from an ISO if you create your own installer then running an in place upgrade would save you data and leave you with a cleaner windows. Chris Titus on YouTube has extensive tuts and has his own tool. You may also be able to use his script to uninstall it properly

It's installed during "Security Updates", Microsoft are doing this like Samsung does with Android app's, that they have been paid to install on phones and tablets.

Although they have recently removed "Ai" from some app's, they are trying to force it in everything.

The next version of Windows will have so much of the garbage, that it will be interesting to see if they can even release it in the EU because it's going to scrape so much data and force "Ai" into everything, and you won't be able to remove it.

Linux and Apple are going to take a big market share soon, especially with the EU ditching and banning Microsoft products being used in Governmental departments.

I have so far recommended and helped 5 people switch from Windows to Linux (mint) and they have all had no issues with it and are shocked how much quicker their laptops feel.

Honestly if you don't have anything that won't work on Linux, I would be switching as soon as possible.

Well I think that will cost the EU more than it costs M$ seeing as the implementation costs of such a ruling would be huge

Also the Windows market share on none mobile platforms is massive and that is hardly gonna take much of a hit as the vast majority of consumers wont be all that bothered. I consider myself a bit of an expert and most of the IT scene scareware does not bother me in the slightest and neither does AI on my computer. AI in social media another thing as everything is a lie now but on my PC I am fine with it. Not Recall BTW but AI I am fine with

It's not going to cost them much at all really, developers time because they want a EU Specific feature set on a Linux Distro, although it's unknown which one they are going to use as a base, but Linux is free, then they are going to a version of Libre Doc's or Open Office to replace Microsoft Office.

This is all because Microsoft refuse to strip the telemetry and Ai from Windows for Governmental agencies, even the likes of Virgin Media, TalkTalk, BT etc are going to move to Linux or Mac because Microsoft are insistent on collecting data from them that they legally shouldn't be obtaining.

Part of one of the ISO xxxx standards, I cannot remember which one there is so many, but part of it is that in order to provide services to specific services, you cannot have that data sent abroad, it cannot leave this Country, and Microsoft are basically saying "What ever you do on your pc using our operating system, will be sent back to us", so in order to comply with that ISO standard, soon companies will be forced to switch to Linux or Mac.

Linux and Mac Os is already taking market share from Microsoft, we just need it to ramp up and take about 30%, then we will see changes at Microsoft.

You think the costs I refer to is software? implementation of the software is another matter . Organisation administration back handers back scratching the whole thing will cost EU governments millions if not more because once anything happens in government or any government run bureaucracy costs are inflated to a massive degree

Oh that side will cost money, but when they are not paying the cost's of Operating Systems, Office, Dedicated Support teams etc etc it will save them millions overall.

I know many won't have paid for Windows 11, but if you paid for say Windows XP back in the day, then Windows ME if you got it, then the £200 Windows Vista Ultimate (I am a fool yes), then the I think it was £120 Windows 7 and so on, even the average user will save money in the long run switching to Linux.

I am in Skegness at the moment and using my laptop and this just over 1 week I have been here, has shown me that I will when I get back home, be able to wipe both pc's that I use and put Linux on both, because the video editing can be done on my Laptop to make use of the Sony Vegas I recently purchased, I can play games on it that cannot be played on Linux and as much as it will be annoying at first, I am looking forward to switching away from this bloated (even when de-bloated) OS.

So whilst they won't feel it, I will be another person not buying future Windows versions, and again whilst they won't feel just me stopping, if millions of us stop buying and switch from Windows to Linux, from Office to Open Office or Libre Office, from One Drive to Nextcloud or alternative, they will start to feel it.

I get what you’re saying, Anonymouse, but can I ask….why don’t you just ignore Co-Pilot, as most of us do?

I, for one, have never used it and have no inclination to do so, but I’m not losing any sleep over not being able to uninstall it.
