Re: Sky in talks to buy ITV
I had a quick read of that on the BBC website
No surprise (to me) that it came across more about Advertising Revenue than the quality of programs . . two mentioned were I'm a Celebrity and Love Island . . definitely top quality FFS :D Mind numbing garbage for the (already) brain dead masses, where the 10 minute advert breaks (every 15 minutes) allow them to catch up on the latest facebook posts. |

ITV (and BBC) produce almost nothing I watch anymore.
In fact looking at my current list of shows, none of them are made by either. |

Re: Sky in talks to buy ITV
Clever, and inevitable, that Sky would snap up a terrestrial player and gaining all the prominence that comes with it, until at least 2034 and in all likelihood 2044. As the government intervenes to regulate the television over IP market to maintain prominence for our public service broadcasters Sky will be right there, next to the BBC, when you switch on your TV set for decades to come.

That would make Murdoch laugh. The British establishment funding the company he set up and controlled for all those years. |
