Brother DCP-9015CDW

I just purchased a Brother DCP-9015CDW for £50. Does anybody have any life experience with this model or similar? Also where do I source parts other than Brother themself?

you should not have to change the drum very often same as the toner . If it in low it might be worth changing both or wait for it to tell you what you need

Brothers are always the way to go even the newest models tend to have 3rd party consumables by the time you run out of what it ships with

On Brothers site reviews mentioned compatible parts being rejected, is that true?

How are the compatible parts compared to OEM?

I have never known them to be rejected my old mono printer had stupid cheap toners accepted. I guess Brother want you to buy their parts

I don't fully understand the parts list I'll have to learn. Is there is sweet and simple understanding of it all please?

Toner carries the powder think of it as a reservoir but of a dry powder

The drum gets charged by the laser and is what directs the toner to the paper so the drum is the most important part but lasts quite a long time

Drums normally last 4 or 5 toners so somewhere around 10000 pages

you can reset the drum counter as long as you have no issues with your prints

thing is in theory if it has been hardly used it will not have deteriorated like an inkjet would

If its currently functional, then its not a bad deal for that model (and a laser printer in general).

If you're going to have to start replacing bits, then its not such a good deal.
