Internet anywhere in the world without a subscription?
Couldn't find were I posted about this it's back on cnn
Advertorial This telecommunications engineer explains how to get internet anywhere in the world without a subscription Laurent Loison - Rédacteur chez Techno Mag depuis 2018, publié le 13/07/2025 Tweet Paying a monthly fee for internet? That nightmare is finally coming to an end. Thanks to a German engineer, thousands of people are now enjoying fast, secure, and contract-free internet access anywhere in the world. A revolutionary little device called SmartWifi now makes it possible to get internet without a SIM card, without a subscription, in over 150 countries. And all for a fraction of the cost of a traditional data plan. Who is Alexander Meyer, the telecommunications engineer who ended subscriptions? “I’ve been working in telecom for over 15 years,” Alexander begins. “I’ve worked with several major carriers. I’ve seen from the inside how they profit massively from subscriptions, especially with roaming. That’s when I decided to create an alternative.” And that’s how SmartWifi was born? “Yes. I started thinking about a way to connect to the internet without being tied to a single carrier or a SIM card. Today, we have the technology to automatically connect into local networks, without subscription.” “SmartWifi is the result of several years of R&D. It fits in your pocket, works in over 150 countries, and automatically connects to the best available signal.” Areas covered by SmartWifi (shown in green on the map) So, how does it actually work? “It’s as simple as using a WiFi box: you turn it on, connect to the WiFi, and you’re good to go. No subscription, no cables, no setup. And you get 30 GB free with your first use.” Here’s what SmartWifi looks like: a small portable device that lets you access the internet anywhere in the world, with no contract. What are the advantages of SmartWifi compared to traditional solutions? Alexander lists them calmly and confidently: ✅ Global connection ✅ No subscription ✅ 10-hour battery life ✅ Secure and private ✅ Compatible with all devices “And most importantly,” he adds, “you have your own WiF, whether you’re in a car, at a hotel, by the sea, or on a train.” >> Click here to get 50% off SmartWifi They tried it, here’s what they have to say: “With my freelance work, I often need fast and secure access while on the go. This device has changed my life.” – Martin, 38 “Delivered in 3 days. I used it in the countryside and by the sea. The connection was perfect.” – Julie, 29 ans “I canceled my fiber subscription for good. I 100% recommend it.” – Philippe, 52 ans How much does it cost? Alexander explains: “My goal was to make this technology accessible to everyone, not just big companies or business travelers.” “The price, including shipping, is$99, which is far less than a year of a regular internet subscription or roaming fees abroad.” He concludes: “It’s a one-time investment. No contracts. No surprise charges. Just a reliable connection, anywhere, whenever you need it.” 📦 What you get with SmartWifi: ✅ 1 next-gen SmartWifi device ✅ 30 GB of included data ✅ USB-C charging cable ✅ Simplified user manual ✅ 30-day money-back guarantee 💥 SPECIAL READER OFFER: 50% off instantly UPDATE: Following the publication of our article, Alexander’s company has decided to offer a 50% discount to the first 1,000 buyers. Re: Found it
Where's the link to the official website. I failed to find it using Google.
Is this it? https://www.nativediscount.com/en/sm...mcff7bj7lj9v8g I'd consider it if they accepted PayPal but I'm not giving my card details. |

Re: Found it
I haven't given that lot my details either.
The 30min counter keeps resetting too  Honestly this sounds futuristic but the nodes right now wouldn't open up their networks like this. Also what's with the one off fee. Free 30GB. Then what? I go through at least a terabyte monthly. I don't think many if not all the data providers would allow me to freeload. This is really confusing but as I said it is futuristic. |
Re: Found it
Sounds like a load of carp.

Re: Found it
All you have to do is search for one of the phrases.
Seems to be disagreement on the name of the person supposedly setting it up. One "article" says "Alex Morel" another says "Alexander Meyer". Searching for "Alex Morel" reveals accusations of it being a scam. |
Re: Found it
I have never been a fan of a free lunch and this seems like a new twist on an old fashioned scam. - Actually paying to be ripped off.

Re: Found it
Smells a bit like the early days of access codes to use 3rd party telecom companies. If you had a BT landline they used to advise you to go on the BT light user scheme so you had next to no line rental. This was against BT’s terms and eventually they got wise to it and started blocking access to such numbers for light user customers. Similarly you could (for a short while) use 0800 numbers on Orange or T-Mobile to access 3rd party carriers, until of course the mobile networks started charging for access to those specific numbers.
I’ll bet this guy has found a loophole the various networks have known about but haven’t been motivated to do anything about. And as soon as this, or copycat services like it, get too popular, they’ll shut it down. That’s assuming its even legal in the first place of course. |

The original device being referred to seems to be a scam and is meant to use its own satellite network. |
Re: Internet anywhere in the world without a subscription?
I didn't say it was. My point was the scam changed it tune. The device looks awfully alike. Bait and switch is common among conartists
The original device mentioned piggyback on masts. Local networks. Not just satellite. Quote:

You could just as easily tether any WiFi device to your mobile phone. No extra cost involved. |
