Lowest mortality is observed for those who sleep for 7 hours a night.
Sleeping 8 hours or longer increases mortality more than sleeping a short interval (5 to 6 hours). Im lucky to get ANY SLEEP! http://web.archive.org/web/200204161...08_Kripke.html I have no take ZZZSLEEP and even then it takes forever it seems to fall asleep!! How do you guys sleep?? I scanned this base first before posting to see if there was an existing thread on SLEEP and there are several but none really fit this so I started my own thread... |
Re: Its best to sleep for 7 hours -- not 8
I get usually 6-8 hrs a night but currently its a dreadful sleep. Wake up with a headache some mornings and my sleep tracker on smart watch shows I toss and turn a lot now as well as snore, waking up frequently through the night and oxygen levels drop a lot too. So waiting to find out if I have sleep apnea, the symptoms all align.
Was told by ENT I have a deviated septum now which wasn't there before my surgery to remove nasal polyps and likely all the tubes up my nose from my transplant and follow on surgeries has weakened and worsened it more |
Re: Its best to sleep for 7 hours -- not 8
On average I sleep 7 hours, so I guess I'm ok.

Generally on 3.5 - 4 hours a night during the week and between 5 & 6 on a weekend
