Vpn overheard in repair shop

So while in a repair shop , was sitting waiting for my order .a girl clearly said to someone ( before the stupid questions start I have no idea the relationship) that you should always get vpn from a company in Switzerland. Think I have an idea why , does anyone know for sure. Please note I am NOT looking a company to buy from
