360 box issues

We have just received a new 360 box with instructions on how to make out existing Tivo box become a 360 box if that sounds right.
OK so our Existing box has successfully updated itself to become a 360 box and is working well
However we cannot get on ITV X as there is always some error code of which i cannot remember and BBC iplayer is always asking us to sign in every time we want to use it.
I did a Google search and it to me to a Virgin media page where it said to make sue you have cookies enabled.
How do i enable cookies on a 360 box?

Seems to be a common issue.

They are suggesting a box change is the solution. Strange how VMs boxes run tivo software ok, but suddenly become knackered when downgraded to 360. If you do get an engineer/box change, ask him for a V6 and forget about 360, pretend it was a bad dream...

You can probably fix ITVX by going to Home - Settings - System and do Factory Reset. Keep recordings if it asks.

Try resetting your hub to see if that fixes iPlayer getting logged out. There is no cookies setting, but you'll get logged out of apps if the box is unable to store the login details to the server.

If you do want to revert back you first need to get them to update your account to TiVo, otherwise the new box will update itself to 360 again. Once the account change is made you can actually revert TiVo compatible boxes back - they’ll pull down whichever software is right for your account - that bit required one of the buttons being held down to enter a pre boot mode (that is how they sorted mine anyway)

Edit - plus you need to convince them / have a good reason (like being misinformed by support about functionality)

Re: 360 box issues

I seem to have resolved the issue. We did a factory reset on the box then it did an update, since then it appears to be working normally so far.
