Power back on at 08:30 - well done, Northern Powergrid.

VM still down.

Update - VM back up.

At least five roads blocked by fallen trees within a mile of our house.

Not too bad in the foothills of the Pennines, a bit breezy

That’ll teach me……..powers just gone off, over a large area by the looks of it.

Isn’t that windy here though.

Depends how far back up the distribution network the damage is … could be a high voltage line in a windier area far away. Good thing is those sorts of outages tend to get fixed quicker. We used to know how long we were going to be off based on which local village FB pages were full of people moaning … down the road where the kids’ high school was, if they went off when we did it would be back within an hour. If it was just around where their primary school was … in a storm bad enough, it could be days. Or a week. :disturbd:
