Right after the school holidays start in Scotland. For the first time in my life I’m going to have to apply for a postal vote. :mad:

My wife is abroad on that date in the US where some "posters" are bemoaning that we are not respecting their "special day".

Independence Day seems a very appropriate choice to me. The day we take back control.

Sunak called the election. He announced it in the pouring rain with no umbrella and got soaked to the skin accompanied by D'Ream's Things can only get better a Labour election track. He had the choice of location and day and chose this combo! :dunce::D

Starmer who had to react to Sunak's announcement did so indoors out of the rain and accompanied by two Union Flags.

If an alien landed yesterday and had to pick the person out of the two who looked most competent to run the country, it wouldn't be the bedraggled Sunak.
