NYE Plans ?

What’s everyone’s plans for NYE ?

For me, quiet night in with swmbo & the dogs before swmbo boots me unceremoniously out the front door at 23:55 for me to first foot.

The NYE’s of being out in Newcastle* paying £20 to get into some crap bar and drinking myself into oblivion on TVR’s are many decades ago

(* UV hair mascara & frayed pinstripe blazer mandatory)

Staying home just like a normal evening.

The outlaws are coming round.

"The little one's a bit older now" they said.
"Let's do something together" they said.
"It'll be fun to celebrate together" they said.

"Where shall we go?" I asked.
"We could go out for a meal" I suggested.
"And somewhere with music until midnight, like the golf club" I suggested.

"Actually, we were thinking we could come to you and you could cook a meal for everyone" they said.

"FFS" I said.

They've had a tough year to be fair, so I've obliged. But next year, I'm booking to go away!

Ditto, except a little more drinking than a normal evening.

I'll be watching the countdown and London fireworks on the TV.

a film, and Last Leg NYE special, then Jools Holland/BBC1 fireworks has been my way to "celebrate" last few years.

Last year, could hear loads mor fireworks than normal, so went out front door watch, saw the guy opposite was doing the same, wished him happy new year and we both watched the fireworks, looked like someone had spent a lot of money, or some of the houses a few roads away had clubbed together

We might stick our noses out of the door at midnight to see the fireworks.

What's the difference between in-laws and outlaws?

Outlaws are wanted

I shall be working, it's potentially our busiest and most problematic night of the year :(

That's more than I'll achieve tonight, with a bit of luck...

Just about to head out to one of my sister-in-law's, they know how to party in her family - we had a rehearsal yesterday at one of her other sister's houses and I just don't know how they can all do it for a second day on the bounce. Like yesterday, I'm driving.

Veg out in front of the telly, toast in the new year and watch the fireworks.

BBC Alba is my choice of viewing for NYE, don't understand much but I like most of the music, my preference is for folk.
