Amazon Drone turns out to be wet wipes!

Ordered a drone off amazon a few days ago and just had the order arrive now.
Excited to open it up and what do I find? 3 packs of wet wipes!

How could this even happen?

It came directly from Amazon!

Absolutely fuming as this cost me a lot of money!

Have contacted Amazon who are investigating but I need my money back ASAP, not some poundland wet wpies!

Anyone else seen things like this?

The courier will not give you the parcel without you giving them the passcode when one is needed so how are you meant to check to see if the right item is in the parcel? Amazon did not think that through did they ?

Amazon are saying its been a mistake when picking items but sounds like BS to me.
Chasing up a refund now.
I suspect it got intercepted by the driver.

My money would be someone in the distribution chain but not the driver. A driver this happens to a number of times would be pretty quickly identified. Can’t rule it out, obviously.

I can believe it. Working in a business where only a couple of dozen different items can be ordered, I still occasionally see cases were the wrong item was dispatched. I can't begin to think how complex it must be for Amazon.

Besides, if you order a drone from Amazon, shouldn't it deliver itself? :scratch:

I guess what anonys me the most is I've got a delivery worth barely a fiver for something I paid several hundred for.
Have sent the package back. I hope it is dealt with quickly.

I got the refund before they received the return although the value of your item might entail a different response from them.

They collected the wet wipes and am now waiting to for them to start the return process.
I really hope this is sorted soon.
