My iffy eyes made me think the title was higher shelves and being vertically superior :erm: I thought it might be an interesting thread and lo and behold it turns out to be about finding new food sources in the cost of living crisis :sick:

In my life I've wavered between thinking the whole God thing is unadulterated nonsense and wondering if there might be something to it. Certainly I agree with Heinlein's Jubal Harshaw in thinking that there is more to self-awareness than a bunch of amino acids sticking together.
And then came Richard Morgan. His character Quelllcrist Falconer had a lot to say about religion. But one particular phrase has stuck in my mind since I read it: a preoccupation with the next world pretty clearly signals an inability to cope credibly with this one. I tend to agree. The best advice for life I've ever heard comes from, of all, people, Bill & Ted: Be excellent to each other! I can find no logical flaw in this advice. :p: |
