S4C English option
 

S4c says English option available for his broadcast. Going to audio selection choose English ( as told but I knew this anyway) nothing happens, S4C tell me no fault at there end

S4C choose to broadcast their audio streams the wrong way round. So you have to select Welsh to get English. (They do it like this so that you get the Welsh audio by default if your box is set to English)

Even when English audio isn't available, English subtitles often are

Thanks this I knew didn't work which ever way I used it , interesting that subtitles would come up in English :shocked:

BBC Alba do this too - you have to not select English when English is available.

You can leave the stb set to Welsh - and you'll always get English when available on all channels.

The football commentary sounds so much better in Welsh.
'camsefyll' is Welsh for offside, interesting that :)
( not sure what VAR is in Welsh..)

DD in Welsh is a single letter pronounced like a hard TH as in THee. (Welsh has a few single letters written with 2 characters, CH, LL, etc. )

Ok so not a good day at the rugby but , I went to the Cardiff game which they lost . Recorded the Wales v baas on s4c having touched nothing on my box\tv got English commentary , so I guess virgin or s4c have fixed the issue
