Free Channels / Freeview Through Virgin Cable Signal
Dear Forum,
Can anyone tell me if my Virgin Media Cable port if Virgin TV was shut down, would still give me the Free Channels? Im unsure if we shoudl call them 'Free to Air' or 'Freeview'. I understand that lots of suppler signals will give this. This is for my mum. I have a sky dish, no sky services, but i recioeve all my free to air services to my TVs. My TVs are FreeSat so i get all those FreeSat channels, with a cable straight into the back of the TV. Could my mum recieve the same through her cable, with no Virgin Media TV service activated? Her TV is FreeView enabled. for clarity, im not sure it matters, but she will kepp the Vrigin Media broadband |
Re: Free Channels / Freeview Through Virgin Cable Signal
Virgin Media have no free to air service, but if your mum has VM broadband she could add a Stream box

Re: Free Channels / Freeview Through Virgin Cable Signal
Virgin Media is a "closed" system. All the channels apart from a couple (for test purposes), are encrypted & require a rented Virgin TV box & subscription. Virgin Broadband is also a requirement.
