Left mouse button not working on some sites

On a site that I frequent, the left mouse button stopped working a couple of weeks ago. No mouse driver problem. Spare mouse has the same problem.

Today, another 2 sites I frequent daily show the same problem. A brand new mouse shows the same problem. Come off the site and try again, the mouse works once out of about 4 reloads.

e.g. https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar

Have you tried a different browser?

Are you zooming the page? some times the zoom can cause weird behaviour

It's the same in Opera and Edge. No zoom settings, so it's normal size in both browsers. I tried on another PC and had no problems, even when using my usual mouse and the new one. It's frustrating to say the least.

full clean up and scan with your AV and Malwarebytes just in case

Just as an experiment could you create a new user and log into that see if the behaviour is the same?

Are you using rear USB ports or front panel?

Rear USB. I shall try a new local account after lunch.

New local account and swapping left-to-right for the mouse buttons. Still the same effect.

A deep scan by Avira found nothing. Ditto Superantispyware.

Unlikely but You're not (understandably) resisting an MS update by any chance are you? I find that when i put them off the PC can behave in some very strange ways until you do the update and then as if by magic everything works perfectly again.

Win 10 is fully up-to-date. As are the browsers. It's doing my head in!

Same here, left & right buttons are working (Firefox) on that radar site.

Have you tried booting in "safe mode with networking" to test it?

I shall give that a go.
