VPN settings and data usage
 
For no reason what so ever does were VPN is set too affect the amount of data ( if that's the right term) you use? ie if I set my VPN to USA on phone and am in France does it use more that if I use France as my country of choice:confused:

No. Your data usage is measured by what’s actually downloaded on your device, not the route it travels to get to you.

The only exception might be if you have a slow/flaky connection via some faraway place that keeps crashing and restarting your file downloads so you’re effectively downloading stuff multiple times. You’d rack up your data usage that way.

Thanks just noticed phone was set to USA which I use in UK to get on a account. In France at the moment, using a different SIM card and not using phone for USA as it is limited data didn't want to waste as it's my route planner at the moment :dozey:
