Tablet extra memory limited
 

My tablet shows a maximum extra memory of 3 gig (if I recall correctly) what would happen/or not if I put more on (SD card) :confused:

Not a lot would happen, unless you moved apps and/or data onto any SD card. It's separate storage. It's not added to the existing space.

Appears to be 2Gb memory with 16Gb or 32Gb of storage. The 2Gb, you won't be able to increase.

Thanks for that, Am l correct in thinking that I can put a sd card in with 16,or 32gb :dozey:

They make larger mini SD cards(even 2Tb ones),


Depends on the thing you're trying to solve.
If it's lack of memory when using the tablet, it won't solve anything.
If you're running out of space on the inbuilt storage, then you will have to move selected apps and data to any new SD card.
There is an option for any suitable app in the Settings->Apps->"selected App" to "move to SD card". If you have things like videos on the tablet, then you can also move those.

In my tablet I put a 256GB MicroSD and I put on this all the DVDs I ripped to enable to watch them when I worked during my lunch break.


Some programs allow you to store "files" on the MSD, others will allow programs, but this can cause issues.


My phone has a 256GB MSD and over 130GB of music mostly in FLAc FORMAT.

True you can get 2TB cards but my phone limits card storage to 1TB. A lot of the top end phones don't have a slot.

For reasons that I won't bore you with, l am hoping to put a film (just the one)on it as l have to "kill " two hours , never been to this location before so hopefully has free bb in which case could use that , if only to pass the time. Book would the last choice , need silence to read, or at least my choice of music!
