Bufferbloat on Superhub
2 Attachment(s)
Hi all.
I was playing FIFA and I noticed I was lagging a lot. This was odd because my PS5 is wired via ethernet. So I took the cable and did a speed test. I got this result: https://www.cableforum.uk/board/atta...1&d=1692651213 High latency right? Apparently this is called 'bufferbloat'. I haven't heard of this before but there is a test you can and it seemed to confirm it: https://www.cableforum.uk/board/atta...1&d=1692651461 These tests were conducted with my laptop plugged right into the Superhub directly. The lag is much worse than it is on wi-fi. I have no idea what I could do to fix this. I have tried different ethernet cables and a reboot of the hub. any ideas? |
Re: Bufferbloat on Superhub
11ms is not high esp. for Cable.

Re: Bufferbloat on Superhub
Well it's that 'loaded' latency that seems the issue?

Re: Bufferbloat on Superhub
My buffer bloat is A doing a wireless test from the Hub5 to my tablet and it's still complaining ! For the low latency gaming part.
How did you get the first part of your results as can't see it on the site? https://www.waveform.com/tools/buffe...0-cc62d9af3c44 |
Re: Bufferbloat on Superhub
The first one is fast.com

Re: Bufferbloat on Superhub
My unloaded is 243ms on WiFi but I get A on bufferbloat on the other site compared to your C.

Re: Bufferbloat on Superhub
Fast.com says my DL is 510mbps, but I'm on the Volt 350 according to Virgin, whilst I thought I was on 200mbps?
Latency 13ms unloaded, 11ms loaded, on ethernet. |

Also M200 speeds got boosted to M250 months ago so M200 doesn't exist now. |
