I loved watching him interview the more difficult characters such as Meg Ryan, Helen Mirren and especially Rod Hull and Emu. I think they are the ones that will stick in my memory for a long time and just in case there are any members who missed this incredible encounter with Emu you can watch a short clip here.

RIP Sir Michael.

I dont care for interview shows, so never watched any of his.
I have seen the emu clips as they have been on other shows over the years.

Still, a legend in his field. RIP.

He wasn't my favourite, but he was popular so must have been doing something right. I know my elderly aunty will be upset.

It's sad when we loose anyone and your thoughts have to go out to his nearest and dearest.
