BBC Regions on Cable TV (York & Harrogate)
 

Hi,

I'm new to this site, hoping someone could help.

I currently live in the midlands and have had Virgin for the last few years. I will be relocating to North Yorkshire for work and it's likely it will be either York or Harrogate.

I'd like to take the Virgin package with me (it looks like both are cabled areas luckily) but I was just curious as to what BBC/ITV region I'd get.

From living in York many years ago I remember multiple BBC Regions were available on Freeview depending on which way you pointed your aerial, although it seemed the Leeds region was the most common.

If anyone in York or Harrogate can confirm which BBC Region is allocated to you on Virgin Cable TV I'd really appreciate it, thank you.

York and Harrogate both get the Yorkshire (West) channels.

York headend distributes ITV Yorkshire (Calendar North sub region) & BBC Look North (Yorkshire).

The ITV+1 region loop is provided by Granada.
