Twitter applies temporary reading limits

Twitter has applied temporary daily reading limits to address "extreme levels" of data scraping and system manipulation, Elon Musk has said.

In a tweet, Musk said verified accounts have been temporarily limited to reading 6,000 posts a day.

With Unverified accounts been temporarily limited to reading 600 posts a day.

And any new Unverified accounts been temporarily limited to reading 300 posts a day.

It’s easier than it sounds, if you click through to read threaded tweets, or even if you scroll a screen or two into replies to tweets. I suspect you can rack up the numbers whether or not you actually read everything that loads into the browser window/app.
