Hair Clippers Advice
I'm looking to get some new hair clippers but don't wish to spend more than £50.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. |
Re: Hair Clippers Advice
I bought a cheap set of Wahl cordless cost me £20 iirc
I think it is this set https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wahl-Cord-C...ps%2C75&sr=8-9 ---------- Post added at 23:38 ---------- Previous post was at 23:36 ---------- Just for reference I have been cutting my own hair for 30 years years - 6 years I grew my hair long and these are as good as any other corded set I have bought in that time |
Re: Hair Clippers Advice
My current set is Babyliss and is 2 year old but its just had its day.

Re: Hair Clippers Advice
I got a Philips Series 3000 set from Amazon during lockdown. £37 in 2020 but it seems they’re on for £20 today. Decent long cord but IIRC you have to get your own 2 pin to 3 pin adapter separately. Check package for details. :D

Re: Hair Clippers Advice
I have some Braun rechargeable cordless - they have 9 different settings, and do the job well - just under £30.
Unlike some, the cut length setting is on the clipper, rather than using different size clip-on attachments. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |
Re: Hair Clippers Advice
My WAHL HomePro Basic Corded Hair Clipper is lasting well compared to the GEEMY GM-806 which fell apart at the lever that controls the blade. The WAHL is very noisey and makes my hand go numb, so I only use it infrequently. If I worked in a hair dressing studio, I would need something that I could use all day, ie: no noise and no vibration. I did briefly own a Oster 606 from amazon but I paid for a new one and got a used one with hairs on it. A lot of reviews said the same thing. I sent it straight back without trying it.

Mine, a corded one, is still going strong after 5 yrs. £20 off ebay. Has all the accessories as the one posted by Jaymoss |
Re: Hair Clippers Advice
Beware of the cheaper ones with recoverable plastic trimming guides. If the guides break, they are not sold separately.

Re: Hair Clippers Advice
I have a Whal home cut bought many years ago for around £15. Still going strong.
