AD on the V6.
My sight is fading fast and i'm now partially sighted and cannot make out what's going on a lot of the time.
I'd like to give AD a try, but Virgin removed the AD channels some time ago. Can someone please explain how I access them? Do all channels have it or just 1-5? |
Re: AD on the V6.
Other channels do seem to have it. It's specific to the programme. The info is in the EPG.
There is an Audio setting for the Alternate Audio to be AD. Not sure how you use "Alternate Audio". |

Help & Settings > Settings > Audio > Alternate Audio > Default Audio Language > Audio Description > press OK Or to toggle AD On/Off press Info - move down to the AD section and press OK You can also change settings on the section with the speaker icon under Info |
Re: AD on the V6.
Many channels have AD. The guide shows which programmes have it.
You may find this webpage useful for the channels that are also on Freeview: http://tvhelp.org.uk/audes/schedule.php |
Re: AD on the V6.
Thanks to you all for your help.
I can no longer see what's on the EPG. Is the Virgin EPG online at all (my phone should allow me to expand the webpage to make it easier to see)? ISTR that it's possible to set recordings when you are away from home and wondered if this was done via an online EPG that I could use at home. |

Virgin TV 360 has a voiceover guidance on some screens. It reads the guide to you
