Sad day. We were virtually the same age and I loved watching him in the Minder, The Sweeney and New Tricks.

Actually quite gutted, loved Minder and thought The Sweeney and New Tricks were okay. Write the theme tune, sing the theme tune :(

Me too. Was always great to see him as the down-to-earth "Terry" getting the better of "Arthur" (played by George Cole) in Minder.
And great he did the theme tune too. RIP.
