Now now, he's appealing and it's quite unfair of the party to have thrown him out until that appeal has been heard or until Sue Grey has reported or Lord Getit has ethically cleansed someone or :blah: :blah:

Look forward to posts with words such as these defending the nonce

Well if he appeals and wins I'll happily quote my first post saying how I was wrong to start the thread prematurely. However, I think I'm much more likely to be signing a recall petition or voting in a by-election and it can't happen soon enough.

Sorry for bumping this thread, meant to do it a few weeks ago. So he's lodged an appeal but I still doubt I'll be admitting to starting the thread prematurely.

Anyway, the reason I've bumped the thread is to say I got my postal vote yesterday and the by-election has attracted 15 candidates! We've also over the last week been bombarded with election literature and visits, so much so I no longer enjoy debating with them as I'm feeling all debated out! We went out yesterday evening and narrowly missed one of our local councillors (literally as Mr G drives like a crazy person ) and while I like and voted for the chap I'm so glad I didn't have to talk to him and got away with a quick wave.
