When does access to email accounts terminate if I move from VM

I'm potentially moving(house) away from VM services after being with them since they laid cable in my street (Telecential->Ntlworld->VM). Do VM allow access to old email accounts for a limited period of time? * my mobile phone contract would still be with VM if that makes any difference.

* if I'm going to redo all my email addresses etc is Google the best free choice?

It's 90 days from the point your Virgin Fibre disconnects.

Although some customers have had access past this point, there is no guarantee of that.

if you are setting up new email accounts the best thing to do is probably to forward all your emails to the new account and perhaps store them in an "archive folder" if they contain documents or information you need for reference.

Google, outlook, protonmail are all decent choices. Gradually change things over, as Ben says you have 90 days from disconnection and you can start in advance every time you get an email to your old account.

Yep thanks - will start forwarding @ntlword email to Google, already have local storage of emails as I access via Pop3 with Outlook as client.
