Change in Router settings

I have an Asus AX86U in an AIMesh setup with an AC86U which has been working great for about the last year on Sky/Now BB but can only get FTTC and Virgin FTTP due to get installed tomorrow.

So Sky runs native IPV6 and I know Virgin Media doesn't, so what do I need setting to put the IPV6 section on the ASUS router settings?

You don't need to do anything, Virgin does that translation for you their end on their routers so by the time the data gets to you it is in ipv4 which your router can understand. So to clarify, leave wan settings and default automatically obtain ip and in the separate ipv6 tab, if you have anything enable, select the "disable" option and save settings.

It will be fine. Turn off your Asus router and connect your pc directly to the shub. Let the shub boot up. It will take 5 mins to download the latest firmware and come online. When it is up you can log into the gui, change the admin password and put it in modem mode. It will reboot and you can reconnect yur pc to the Asus router and connect the Asus router to port 1 on the shub. You might have to do a quick reboot of yoyr pc to get to dhcp info from your Asus router. Remember to set your dns servers if you havent done so already.

An alternative to re-boot is to use ipconfig /renew from the CLI.

It all changed with barely a hitch.
Connected to wifi and enabled modem mode.
Just rebooted the router after swapping ethernet cables over from my TP link modem to the Virgin hub. Got a Hub 3.0 though :erm: thought it would be a 4 or a 5, but only on 350Mb so might be why.
