A new printer is on the cards (Colour)

My faithful HP Laserjet 1320 has about 15% left on the toner and new on can cost circa £150.

So I guess I might as well upgrade to a colour one.

So can you recommend a replacement that has the following support separate colour cartridges, Network, Wi-Fi and duplex.

But if possible a similar footprint, but a depth of no longer than 16"/40cms.

Scanning isn't really required as I have a ScanSnap S1300i

I was looking at the Brother HL-L3270CDW
I have a Brother Mono now and using compatible toners that only cost a few quid each and looking for compatible toners for the colour one above they can be got for £35.

A lot of the toners can also be refilled as long as the printer itself can reset the cartridge timer.

Is that one colour cartridge or 3/4?

Reviews ain't good on toners reporting empty when they are not.

That is the same for pretty much every printer. They all count low that is why you want to check to make sure the printer you buy has a reset function as I mentioned. This one does ;)

It is sold as colour

Look at sites like Printer Land, huge ranges. I have an OKI531DN - Duplex Network. I use a wireless bridge to provide the network access as the wifi option was very expensive but that is likely to be integral to most now.

I had to get Linux compatibility so limited choices, OKI drivers seem very good. And 3rd party toner works out around £40 a year for all four colours. (They claim thousands of pages but no where near that at all.) I'll change when other parts of the printer wear.

That is no different for essentially every printer. They all count low to that end you need to check to ensure the printer you purchase has a reset work as I referenced. This one does It is sold as shading.

I'm a massive Canon fan. Canon are the only Printers to find a grey cartridge in the mix and I find it makes a better colour match.
