NBC News Now

Following the removal last year of CNN from Virgin Media, do people think that NBC News Now, which is testing on satellite, should launch on VM? I think it should.

It's a Left-leaning outlet.

It depends on whether you are left-leaning. I prefer my news channels to be neutral, but I think such an expectation is a bit pie in the sky as they all lean one way or the other.

NBC News Now HD is set to launch on Sky on March 7th.

Virgin Media viewers can need to wait until Virgin deal with CNBC is up so Virgin can look to launch:

CNBC HD
NBC News Now HD

It is launching on satellite on Sky - but not on Glass.

VM users with V6 or 360 can watch it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drT4VUHvrNU

Reports today say NBC News Now HD should launch on Virgin Media by April.

I hope they have some happier news than were getting from the other channels. Used to be a news junkie, but just can't watch any longer. I'm finding 70's sitcoms therapeutic atm ;)

Unfortunately, you can only report the news that is happening (well unless you are Russian State TV) which is depressing, worrying and just wrong!

Understand your position but l don't think you can really trust ANY news outlet at the time of war :(

Possibly, but some are more trustworthy than others.

I think it is understandable that things will be omitted from News if a country is involved in a war - as you don't want the enemy to be tipped off.

You can go to the other extreme like Russia and threaten journalists/people for even suggesting you are in a war.

One would hope that most news channels are providing a balanced view if they are in a non-combatant country.
