Assigning a Static to a TiVo

I have set my home network to static IPs were I can (Room, and Smart Kit)

Can I set the TiVo & V6 TiVo STB to a static IP within the device, or do I have to get my router to assign them?

I use the router. This wouldn't work if switch between wired/wireless as MAC would change.
