This site says that some parts are inaccessible due to them operating on reduced power:

Is this a thing? I've never come across this before.

Reminded me of the days of analogue television!

I think thats probably intended to be a joke.
(as in transmitters sometimes run on reduced power).

Ahh right it went completely over my head!

In trying to work out what they meant, I thought it might be a case of some of their servers having to go offline due to a power issue.

A bit like if whoever hosts this site had to take some of their servers offline and you saying to take the least used parts of the forum down, meaning that some pages would be available and some not.

There again the different bits that make up this forum are likely to be all over the place on different servers, even down to different pages in the same thread, so it wouldn't be known which could be switched off and which couldn't!

...and i've probably got how it works all wrong anyway :D
