Re: Comparason Website Question
If you want to try another comparison site I can reccomend The MSE site for your energy. I can personally recommend Octopus for your energy. No problems and very competitive prices. You can get cheaper but at least Octopus has achieved a 5 star rating from Which and Trust pilot.
Again not the very cheapest but we use Saga for our home insuance and have even stayed with them rather than pay a little less with another company. Saga are great if you need to contact them, no being passed from person to peron before you get to someone who can actually deal with any enquiry. Trustpilot |

I left SAGA after they tagged-on a £50 "arrangement fee".

Re: Comparason Website Question
Quote me happy direct updated price was lower than comparison web sites. Nnot the cheapest overall but not worth changing. Like for like the lowest was - £3.50 over the year .not worth the trouble !

Re: Comparason Website Question
Also, important to compare like for like - some insurance quotes don’t provide the same cover.

Re: Comparason Website Question
If you have a mortgage or loan application in don't go near comparison sites, they will credit check you with every provider and scupper any credit applications you have

Re: Comparason Website Question
I too recommend Octopus for gas and electricity provided you are prepared to do everything on the internet, communicate via email and submit meter readings monthly. It works very well.
For home insurance, first take out a free account with Quidco and check out cashback from companies like Aviva (which doesn't appear on comparison websites). |
Re: Comparason Website Question
I moved to ESB Energy two years ago and still happy with them.

They are soft checks, and have no effect. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/in...-credit-score/ |

Your loss, but he is quite simply wrong.
You should view your own report (I do, every month). FYI, I worked at Experian for 10 years, I know just a little about how it works ;) |
