Making a Chocolate Log

I wish to make a Christmas chocolate log the easy way as my mum did as a kid by covering a pre bought Swiss Roll in Chocolate.

If i was to buy a large Swiss roll how much at a guess large bars of Chocolate would i need?

Thanks

You could always buy ready made chocolate icing..

I prefer real chocolate coating to icing, especially something a bit darker to counter sweetness on the cake.

I'd err getting too much. If you have some spare use it to dip fruit in for a pud or dip some plain biscuits halfway and keep them for Christmas. You could sprinkle some chopped nuts before it sets for extra luxury.
