Patrick Stewart will receive this year’s distinguished artisan award at the 7th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards.

I thought this was a joke at first.

Whatever the award is for the man is a legend.

Good for some things and not others it's just a shame he couldn't keep his political opinion to himself

And who are you to decide that he shouldn't speak out about his opinions? This is still a democracy and EVERYONE but the Royal family is allowed an opinion. This is not a totalitarian state yet.

I'm glad it's still a democracy and in my opinion he wants duck tap over his yap;)

Indeed. The Conservatives have threatened Channel 4 over the climate change debate that they had, i'd expect this behaviour from Putin, but not the UK.

My niece has actually met Mr Stewart and said at the time that he was a very pleasant man to talk to, no airs and graces or big headedness whatsoever.

I recall veiled threats about renewing the franchise.

You mean
Quote:

Look at whether its remit should be better focused so it is serving the public in the best way possible.
Its bound to be renewed as Ch4 is state owned.
