I cruised past this house the other week and had to go back for a second look .

I would hazard a guess that the building is timber framed. Masonry would have cracked or collapsed. Given that it appears to be on posts it should be possible to put steel under it and jack it back up to be able to replace the supports.

Still going to be a hefty bill whatever is done.

I read that it started sinking soon after it was re thatched due to the weight and the timber couldn't handle it.

That's a double ouch thatched roofs aren't cheap.
