Netflix message regarding immigrants.

Apparently, last night white text was displayed over every movie preview on Netflix, it said 'To control the intrusion of the immigrants' - does anyone know what this is all about?

These are some screenshots, but i'm not sure if they will work:

It's as intriguing as it is bizarre!

On how many different customers boxes? I can only see one report which looks as if some subtitles have got stuck in the display area.

Don't know how many were affected. The text comes across as some sort of subliminal political message from Netflix :D

Perhaps it was targeted advertising?

I think I know what's happened here. All the screenshots seem to be from one guy in Portugal. I think his decoder has a bug where fails to clear the current subtitle from the graphic buffer when the stream is stopped, so the same subtitle then appears over whatever he views next.

Whatever, nothing to do with VM.

He's now posted this and confirmed that he's not using VM, but Sky Q:

Spoke to Netflix live chat and they had no idea what I was on about...

Is Sky Q available in Portugal? I had assumed that he was in the UK. Interesting that another person has experienced this too.

Ok, maybe I'm wrong then. I found it via the Portuguese Facebook, though on closer inspection, it's actually a page belonging to someone in the USA

Sounds more like "fake news" all the time :)

I suspect there has been a glitch somewhere - or some Netflix employee on his way out.

The Portuguese guy is likely using a VPN to get a better selection of films - so US version.
