Remote eye for V6 box
 

Hi, I want to put my V6 box in a cupboard to hide it. The cupboard is next to the TV.. will i need a remote eye to control it? if so does anyone know which is the best for a V6 ... thanks

The V6 remote works by radio, not infrared light. so it should work unless the cupboard has steel doors.

The V6 remote works via Bluetooth just make sure you have 'paired' the remote to the V6 box and you will have no issues. I've just tested my remote in the kitchen and it worked the box in the livingroom with the signal going through two internal walls.

It actually works via RF4CE. Much better range than Bluetooth.

But the rest of your advice is good. Just go into Help&Settings -> Devices -> Remote Control Pairing to make sure the remote is paired.

My my most recent V6 had its remote already paired.

Take your remote into another room, change channels and ask someone else to watch the TV :)
