Passport: Renew or replace?
 

Hi,

My passport expired in 2006, and despite trawling the web, I cannot find a definitive answer as to whether I need to apply for a new passport, or whether my old one can be renewed. I even emailed the passport office, but they didn't reply. Any ideas?

As Pip says you must renew it providing you have the old one - you'll need details from it.

You only REPLACE it if it's been lost, stolen or damaged.
