Cable Management

Hi,

Unfortunately my HDMI cable which was hidden/buried in the wall and floor when I rebuilt my house. Has decided to give up on me. Therefore the new cable will be run directly down from the television and run along the skirting board to the Virgin box.
Can anyone recommend a good cable cover (preferably which is paintable) to cover the now impending cable?

Thanks

You can get hollow (plastic?) skirting for running cables in, alternatively get a strip of wooden, put a groove in the back and fix it back with the cable in the groove but watch where you put the nails!

Is the cable not in a conduit in the wall? Usually, a 'tunnel' is made for the cables so you can swap or feed new cables and still have them hidden. actually burying the cable in the wall seems like a very bad idea!

"Buried" may have been the wrong word to use. It is fed through a tube vertically then runs under the floor boards to its source. But taking it out and then trying to feed through a new one seems like a very difficult task!

Just tie the new cable to the old cable with strong thread, and pull the new cable through when extracting the old cable.

Could be possible. Has a long way to go though. And a few twists and turns!
