Bananas in Tesco
Charging more for individual bananas in smaller Tesco stores due to high rents. 25p per banana.
But if you go into a large Tesco, you often see bananas (and other small fruits) offered FREE to children in the store. https://www.cableforum.uk/images/local/2018/09/1.jpg Nothing new really as they have charged for individual turnips for years. No matter what size they are, they sell them at 50p each (around £3.40 per kg), whereas ASDA sells them at £1.89 per kg. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45419805 |

Re: Bananas in Tesco
Easily solved. Buy a bunch of bananas and take one to work with you.

Re: Bananas in Tesco
I accidentally stole bananas from my tesco express. i didn't realise you pay for each banana, so i put them on the self service, when it came up with a number I pressed 1.
it was only later i realised I should have put number of bananas in, i didn't realise that it didn't weigh them like at the big store I usually shop in. |
