I haven’t got a clue why I have received one.

I had never heard of the Poodle vunerability so your link to the Virgin Media Community was spot on. Did the test posted by ravenstar and found my Chromebook and laptop browsers are all OK.

What I cannot find out from anywhere is have I got this email from Virgin Media because I have accessed a website that uses SSL 3.0 rather than TLS? I know the email says a device connected to your home network, but it is not very detailed at all.

The email I got was very similar to this one below.
